"Going, Going, GREEN!" Weekend at Comerica Park

Join us for "Going, Going, GREEN!" Weekend at Comerica Park from July 24-26. The Detroit Science Center's Traveling Science department will be on site Saturday July 25 & Sunday July 26 demonstrating segments from our new ‘Launching the Green Machine’ outreach program. We will be set up outside the main gates, facing Woodward Avenue with free handouts about how to be a good caretaker of the Earth by following the 3 R’s: Reduce – Reuse – Recycle! We’ll also have our ‘Mull-Again’ mini-golf putting ‘greens’ for you to try out – they are made from recycled/reused materials to get folks thinking about ways to creatively recycle and reuse in their daily lives. Stop by and say "hello" and to find out how to reduce their carbon footprint and save money with simple, inexpensive steps.

The event runs both days from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm; it is free to the general public – you don’t need a ticket to the game to participate in the event. BUT, if you want to cheer on the Detroit Tigers, Saturday night's game against the White Sox features the Detroit Tigers "Going, Going, GREEN!" Shopping Bag for the first 10,000 fans!
