You are an integral part of the equation in making the Detroit Science Center the best place for hands-on science! Now your support of the Science Center can have an even greater impact.
Beginning August 18 at 10:00 a.m. the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, through the Community Foundation Challenge – Arts & Culture, is providing up to $1 million to match general operating gifts made online at www.cfsem.org to support participating arts and cultural organizations, including the Detroit Science Center. While $1 million may seem like a lot of money, matching funds are expected to run out within hours of the beginning of the challenge!
There’s never been a better time to support the Detroit Science Center! A match of $1 will be provided for every $2 contributed! Gifts must be made online via the link above, by credit card or e-check and can range from $25 to $10,000 per contributor, per organization.
The Detroit Science Center is a non-profit organization and relies upon charitable donations to inspire future scientists. Gifts to the Detroit Science Center help develop new exhibits, fund field trips for under-served children, and keep admission affordable.
We can’t do this without you! Mark your calendar and be a part of the equation by giving on August 18 at 10am.
Pass it on! Please forward this blog post and share with everyone you know who’s geeked about science. Become a fan, friend or follower (link) of the Detroit Science Center to keep up-to-date!
